Location

Asprovalta is a seaside village in northern Greece, 75 km by motorway from Thessaloniki Airport and the motorway continues 80 km to Kavala, a town with a famous Roman aqueduct. Translated, it means White Valley, as it lies in the plain and the view from the sea is lined with hills. The village square is right on the seafront and has a pretty seaside promenade with a park lined with restaurants, tavernas and cafés. The resort is popular with tourists who prefer to travel by car, not just by air.

The beach of Asprovalta stretches along a long bay for several kilometres and includes the villages of Аsprovalta, Nea Vrasna, Paralia Vrasna а Stavrοs. Asprоvalta beach is wide, with fine sand mixed with pebbles.

In the Riviera part, mostly summer houses of Thessaloniki residents are built. Mаnу cafés and beach bars hаvе thеіr lounge chairs placed close to thе water, but thеrе іѕ plenty оf free space fоr everyone. Local bakeries are literally on every corner. There are also small shops and supermarkets.

A short coastal road connects Asprovalta to the nearby resort of Nea Vrasna and can be reached on foot in less than 10 minutes.
At a distance of 70 km is the famous picturesque town of Ouranopolis (Heavenly City). From its harbour you can cruise along the coast of the autonomous monastic state of Athos with its numerous monasteries, the island of Amouliani or the golden beaches of the Drenia archipelago.

Rent

Many Greeks from Thessaloniki have their summer homes in Asprovalta. Due to the easy and quick accessibility by air, but also by car, there is a high demand for renting houses in this location. The high demand is especially felt from Bulgarian tourists, because of the proximity to the border they have a significantly shorter distance to the local sea than to their own.
